When a board has been written off somewhere else, we open it, find the fault under a microscope, and repair the part or trace that failed. Marine, industrial, automotive, audio, and obsolete electronics all come to the same bench.

We diagnose fishfinders, chartplotters, radar, VHF, autopilots, and trolling-motor boards down to the component that failed, then repair the board itself. Marine dealers are mostly set up around flat-rate exchange, because a microscope bench doesn't fit that model.
Industrial electronics repair
A faulted VFD, servo drive, PLC, HMI, CNC control, or industrial power supply can hold up a line for as long as the replacement takes to arrive, so we diagnose the board, repair the failed section, and put the original unit back in service.
Automotive electronics repair
Engine control modules, instrument clusters, ABS and body control modules, and TCMs get opened and traced to the failed component here, which keeps the original module's coding and immobilizer pairing intact.
Vintage & pro-audio electronics repair
Vintage amplifiers, receivers, hi-fi gear, synthesizers, cassette decks, and turntable electronics often fail because the parts aged out rather than because anything was ever wrong with the design, so we recap the dried-out electrolytics and rebuild the stage that failed.
Game console repair & mods
A damaged HDMI port is a microsoldering job, so we desolder the failed port and fit a replacement to the board. Power and no-boot faults, plus retro console restoration, get the same component-level diagnosis before anything is quoted.
Computer repair — board level
Laptop and PC work happens on the logic board itself, where we repair the component behind a no-boot, no-display, charging, or liquid-damage fault. That stays possible even once the motherboard is no longer sold as a spare part.

A few things we don't take on, so nobody wastes a drive out. Plenty of shops around here do phone and tablet screens well and they'll be quicker and cheaper than we would be. Data recovery we'll point you at someone set up for it.

Most shops are set up to move volume, so a board that needs a few hours under a microscope doesn't really fit the model and usually comes back quoted as a replacement. That's the part we like, so it's most of what we do. If it's a circuit board and it's worth saving, it's on the table.

What's the difference between board-level repair and just replacing the board?
Replacing the board swaps the whole assembly for a new or refurbished one, whether or not that’s actually necessary. Board-level repair finds and fixes the specific failed component instead, which usually costs less and is often the only option left when the board itself is obsolete or no longer available to buy.
What is microsoldering?
Microsoldering is precision, component-level soldering done under magnification — using a microscope and fine-tip tools to remove, replace, or rework the tiny surface-mount parts and traces on a modern circuit board without damaging what’s around them.
Do you offer mail-in marine electronics repair?
Yes — the process is the same whether you drop the unit off in Palm Bay or Melbourne or ship it in from anywhere in the country: free diagnosis, a firm quote, your approval, then the repair.
Can a burnt or water-damaged circuit board be repaired?
In many cases, yes. Component-level diagnosis finds the specific part that failed or shorted, and water or corrosion damage can often be cleaned and repaired if it hasn’t fully bridged or eaten through a trace. Is board-level repair cheaper than replacing a drive or PLC?
Often it can be. Board-level repair targets the specific failed component rather than replacing the entire drive, PLC, or power supply, which typically costs less than buying new and can also avoid a long lead-time wait for the exact replacement model. Can you repair a board with no schematic or documentation?
Yes — a lot of the boards that come in, especially obsolete or oddball equipment, have no published schematic available. When that happens, the relevant section of the circuit is reverse-engineered by hand to find and repair the fault.
